NECES gathers researchers interested in studying science, economy and their development in contemporary societies. Focusing on a strict collaboration between research and post-graduate training, it develops Doctoral Programmes and advanced training courses which provide a space for discussion, cooperation and creative partnerships amongst researchers and students developing advanced research on the relations between science, economy and society.

Current research projects demonstrate the modernity and relevance of topics developed: knowledge, art, science, citizen, participation, active citizenship, forensic genetics, social control, vigilance, health, democracy, human rights, financialization, environment, risk, sustainable development, crisis, science and law, among others.
