New Tradition | Craft-based textile workshops

About

NOV∆ TRADITION is a platform that brings together different approaches connected to Alentejo cultural roots and intended provide the crossing between contemporary design and artisanal traditions.
In a consumer society in which industrial production is representative of an uncharacterized and global culture, NOV∆ TRADIÇÃO born to rediscover our identity which is intimately linked to our cultural roots.

Not only for historical wealth, but because the craft-based activities are in risk of disappearing, NOV∆ TRADIÇÃO appears and counts with the help of local agents who still perpetuate these activities.

The objective is to transmit those activities as well stimulate the capacity to generate original ideas from the innovation of the processes and consequently generate new concepts and products. LOOM NEW.TRADITION was the first project developed by NOV∆ TRADIÇÃO, integrated on CREATOUR, LOOM proposed the creative offer ‘Artisanal textile workshops’.
