Workshop “Weave your mat” – drying and creating with bunho

By sharing the knowledge of local trainers/artisans, using bunho and an old technique, you can create your mat (“esteira”, a piece used for comfort in cold days and later for support in agriculture).
The workshops are intended to explain the process and allow visitors to use the loom to make their own “esteira”. Later you’ll be able to paint and decorate it with a creative local craftsman.
Cost of workshop: €20* (maximum number of participants 20)
*The cost includes a traditional snack
The workshop has a duration of 3H and registration is open until March 2, 2019 at ruralidades.memorias@gmail.com.

The Association Ruralidades & Memórias will hold, as it is custom, the event “Radical Sunday”, where throughout the day you can participate in several activities, for all ages!
Tourism 3B workshops:
* Storytelling “Trails of Breu”. Describing the activity and technique of the production of breu, a dark resin derived from pine and sold to caulk boats, we will create and share long-lasting memories!
