This workshop proposes to combine electric conductive textile materials with wool and conventional textile materials to create interactive textiles as well as lighted cloth! Using simple handcrafting techniques, participants will create electrical circuits and textile sensors, forecasting the future of wearable technology..

The embroidery technique is known as Punch Needle and allows you to reproduce patterns with ease. It’s perfect for getting started in textile crafts! In this workshop we will explore New Hand Lab’s collection of fabric designs, creating contemporary patterns based on historic ones from the wool industry, such as the one we can see in the image.
In addition to taking home the work produced in the workshop, you will also take the needle and the frame to create original Christmas gifts for family and friends!
